We work with the regional health and care system to identify challenges and unmet needs so we can advise industry partners with innovative solutions about potential opportunities.
An unmet need call is based on an identified clinical demand for innovation.
It is of regional relevance and focuses on a clear system/clinical need or challenge. The call is released, often to industry, to identify possible solutions. Solutions can be existing or novel.
Taking these problems and unmet needs on board, we will bring clinicians and organisations together, in conjunction with industry and academia, to develop, test and spread innovative solutions.
Examples of unmet need calls include finding digital solutions to help people receiving care in their own homes and remote monitoring for patients to check their prostate-specific antigen levels at home.
